Road to Juneau is a science-fantasy novel set in the near future, specifically 2 years after the third world war. Humanity builds its cities back up brick by brick; the damage done to the people, however, is a lot harder to repair. We follow Daniel Hardacre, an aspiring stage-actor and experienced draft-dodger as he struggles to find his place within the utopic rebuild of New York City. When he’s not caught up with the duties of work, Daniel lives a quiet life in mourning for his Mother, Dyani who went missing when he was a teenager.

One night, Daniel experiences a vivid, terrifying nightmare which put him right on the front lines of the war for which he dodged the draft. Following this haunting experience, Daniel seeks out a meeting with his estranged father, Henry, who informs him that he’s descended from a family of celestial gods and that his mother disappeared after she battled with a faceless, metallic figure known only as The Valkyrie.

As gods, Daniel and Henry can fly, manipulate matter, lift entire buildings and even withstand the perils of outer space. After learning how to control his godhood Daniel is introduced to Forever, a interdimensional time portal created by his Father. Daniel, with the use of Forever, makes it his mission to return to the scene of his nightmare, confront the Valkyrie and investigate his Mother’s disappearance.
